We drank until our speech paid homage to honesty.
Choreographing our steps to dance with the truth.
Yet, the night life lies in something lascivious.
There is no church in this wild lounge.
We are wildlife.
The uncouth youth.
Rolling our bodies like blunts.
Sparking the fire, the high, when gyrating pelvises remind us of the manuscripts our parents took in an unknown effort to get us here.

Elixirs exhibiting red colors flow
into chalices that delude us to thoughts of grandeur.
Kings.
Queens.
Madness.
Lavish.
The morning after we’ll view those
red-filled cups like blood.
An apology for forgiveness.
We drank to that.

Patron-stained palates savor the taste of last night’s darkness.
This headache is a tattoo from Waka’s “Round of Applause” knocking in the speakers.
We can only recall with our mind’s eye the shadows and shades that moved like waves.
Swag surfin with an adroitness that prevents us from drowning.
